Privacy policy
When you book an appointment, we need a few details from you. Here you’ll find what they are, what we use them for, who we share them with and what your rights are.
Who processes your data
Erik Matula, company ID (IČO) 52 278 476, Dojč 116, 906 02 Dojč (operator of the Era Studio barbershop). If you have questions about your data, write to us at info@erastudio.sk.
What data and why
- Name, email, phone and booking note — to book your appointment, send you a confirmation, remind you of it by email the day before and contact you if something changes. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Your visit history (date, service) — so we know how often you visit us. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Next-appointment reminder by email — only if you tick the consent box when booking (it’s not pre-ticked). When it’s time for your next haircut, we’ll send you a short reminder. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the “Unsubscribe” link in every email; withdrawal doesn’t affect processing carried out before. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
We don’t sell your data or use it for third-party advertising or automated decision-making.
Who we share data with
- Cloudflare, Inc. — runs the website and the booking database.
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — sends confirmations and reminders by email.
Both companies are based in the USA. We transfer data to them under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
For as long as you keep visiting us. If you don’t visit us for 3 years, we delete your data. We’ll delete it sooner if you ask us to — except data we’re required to keep by law (e.g. accounting records).
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just write to us at info@erastudio.sk. If you believe we’re not handling your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk.
Cookies and visitor statistics
The website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Cookies only remember which language you’re viewing the site in (Slovak or English) and whether you’ve closed the notice on the home page. For anonymous visitor statistics (number of visits, which pages people open, device type, country) we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — it stores nothing on your device and doesn’t collect data that could identify you. Fonts and other files are loaded directly from our website.
